Abhishek Bachchan is keen on “Kajra Re 2.0”
The actor’s enthusiasm is clear. A new production has not been announced.
Abhishek Bachchan has said he would welcome a new version of Kajra Re if Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan agreed to take part. NDTV’s 2 October report recounts his BBC Asian Network interview and his recollection of the original song’s shoot. The number appeared in Bunty Aur Babli in 2005. His comments express interest, rather than confirmation of a commissioned sequel, filming schedule or release date.

Captain Smit Machchhar recounts opening the cockpit door during attack
The injured pilot describes the decision that allowed others to intervene.
In a video call with Narendra Modi released on 2 October, injured flydubai captain Smit Machchhar described opening the cockpit door so passengers and crew could intervene during the attack. ABC News reports that the flight diverted to Tabuk in Saudi Arabia. Machchhar has since been receiving medical care in Abu Dhabi. Modi praised his courage and wished him recovery.
The captain credited others who helped bring the situation under control. His account adds detail to the rescue. It does not, by itself, settle questions about the attacker’s motive or the wider investigation.

Retaliation warnings, difficult negotiations and the human cost of uncertainty.
READ ARTICLE →Axios reported on 2 October that the US had sent two additional Patriot missile batteries to protect Saudi and Qatari energy facilities in recent weeks, citing two American officials and a regional source. One was assigned to an oil installation in Saudi Arabia and the other to a gas facility in Qatar. The report describes defensive reinforcements amid concern about renewed fighting with Iran. It does not establish that a new offensive has begun.

Mumbai. The CJP demonstration and a reported counter-protest at Shivaji Park are covered in the updated CJP briefing above.

Indian exchanges close for Gandhi Jayanti; gold faces dollar pressure
A holiday in India does not stop international bullion trading.
Zerodha’s holiday notice confirms that equity, derivatives, currency and commodity markets are closed on 2 October for Gandhi Jayanti. There is consequently no new regular Indian exchange closing price for today. Any previous-session figure should retain its original date.
A morning Economic Times report described international gold prices slipping amid a firmer dollar and higher US Treasury yields, ahead of US employment figures. That is a dated market report, not a live quote or an assessment of a later payroll release. Local jewellery prices may also include taxes and making charges. No fresh numerical gold price is asserted in this update.
