BCCI’s official update puts fitness and preparation in the spotlight.
BCCI announced that Prasidh Krishna will miss the third ODI against West Indies. It also named Naman Dhir as Washington Sundar’s replacement for the T20Is. The official announcement is the starting point for understanding the changes.
A late adjustment creates opportunities as well as questions about continuity. Selection should be assessed through the role a player is expected to perform, the format and the team’s preparation. Social media speculation about internal conflict should not be substituted for the board’s stated explanation.
